Geneva's Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, under the commission's General Criteria and Program Criteria for Engineering, General Engineering, Engineering Physics, and Engineering Science.

Engineering students at Geneva earn a BSE degree built around a core engineering curriculum that provides students with broad exposure to the field. Students will also choose a specific concentration by working with an advisor to decide which engineering discipline is right for them.

Engineering Program Educational Objectives

We recognize that our students and graduates make choices and commitments that we do not control. Nevertheless, we state our objectives on the assumption that our graduates stay in the engineering profession and make the choices and commitments that we encourage.

Objectives: Within five years of graduation, graduates of Geneva College’s Engineering program will:

  2. Obtain professional certifications and/or advanced degrees appropriate to their career path.

  3. Be active members of Christian churches and engaged in church leadership roles, Christian service, and/or community service appropriate to their gifts and opportunities.

Engineering Program ABET Student Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the engineering program, graduates will have achieved the following outcomes:

  1. an ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics.
  2. an ability to apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.
  3. an ability to communicate effectively and ethically with a range of audiences.
